L'histoire des Harlem Hellfighters, soldats noirs américains ignoblement discriminés par leur pays, qui ont combattu héroïquement dans l'armée française en 1917/18 est passionnante. Elle nous apprend quelquechose sur la première guerre mondiale qui sort un peu des sentiers battus et des informations convenues des livres d'histoire de nos classes de collège et de lycée. Attention, version originale dans un anglais parfois "argotique" pas toujours facile à comprendre, même quand on en maîtrise bien la langue.
